| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 11, 2010 750 ml. Hazy dark amber body with a white, mininal head. The aroma is fairly malty with notes of caramel and bread. Hints of basement aromas. Notes of plum, prune, raisin and candy sugar. The flavor is heavily sweet and lighlty bitter. It finishes moderately to heavily sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation. The alcohol is not immediately apparent, but does come through in the finish, though it’s far from boozy. Very sweet, but not cloying. Enjoable. rand (100), Switzerland

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2010 Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy dark orange beer with a thick white head. Caramelly malty aroma is a bit alcoholic. Taste is also sweet and malty and some alcohol pushes through. Both aroma and taste definitely belgian style. Medium to full body. Overall a good typical belgian ale but a bit too alcoholic. BVery (763), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA
