Bottle. Dark brown with red glow. Aroma of liquorice, banana, sweet fruits and sugar. Flavour is mildly bitter with coffee and liquorice, mildly sweet with "Haagse Hopjes" (local coffee candy). Nice brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark coppery brown with a creamy off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of sugar, bread, really good wine and some oak (was this barrel aged?). Flavor is mildly sweet evolving to a bitter finish and with bread, licorice and some wine. Really nice brew.

750 ml. Hazy dark amber body with a white, mininal head. The aroma is fairly malty with notes of caramel and bread. Hints of basement aromas. Notes of plum, prune, raisin and candy sugar. The flavor is heavily sweet and lighlty bitter. It finishes moderately to heavily sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation. The alcohol is not immediately apparent, but does come through in the finish, though it’s far from boozy. Very sweet, but not cloying. Enjoable.

Bottled:
Pours orange-y brown with a large and thick head. Sourish red currant aroma. Flavour is sweet and has notes of red currants, cherries and bitter cherry stones. Not bad but just a little bit too sweet.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy dark orange beer with a thick white head. Caramelly malty aroma is a bit alcoholic. Taste is also sweet and malty and some alcohol pushes through. Both aroma and taste definitely belgian style. Medium to full body. Overall a good typical belgian ale but a bit too alcoholic.

Tap. Opaque light brown pour with a thin clingy tan head. Aroma of yeast and pear. Taste is pear, bread, and caramel. Pretty fantastic.
