COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This blonde and slight sour ale is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast and some skills out of the Wild Woesten.
Special beer by Struise as a tribute to Lembeek brewers.

Beer5000 (10641) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 27, 2023
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2023 Backlog August 2011. Pale golden body under a fading off-white head. Aroma is funky, fruity and acidic. Taste is also funky, fruity and acid, like a gentle geuze. Nice and refreshing without pushing the limits.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2023 Poured from 750mL bottle (2008 vintage). Clear gold with small white head. Hint of citrus pith and fungal notes, sharp funk. Decent.

beerplace (8825) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 12, 2023
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2023 750ml shared with Ryan and two other regulars of Kulminator. Vintage 2008. Appearance: almost clear golden with a white head. Aroma: malty, white lemon peel, some funk and a bit of apples. Taste: along the same lines, bready, slightly sour, some cherries. Overall: passed its prime, but still deserves attention as an experience.

ClarkVV (13405) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2022
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2022 Draught at Ebenezer's Pub, summer/fall of 2008, I believe. Mildly hazy, pale straw-to-brass with a thin, somewhat dense, white head showing moderate retention. Nose is spicy phenolics with bone dry malts behind it showing plentiful cracker. Lemon, tangerine almost and some softer fruits with a very deep, subtle Brett character. Not going to mistake this one for the fresh Brett nose of, say, aged Orval. In the mouth it's malty, very dry, with cracker and biscuit-like malts and the Brett and Pedio adding varying degrees of tartness with a bit of stronger, cherry and acetic-like character. Slightly abrupt finish, fading in to the blander malt notes, though with hints of citrus, pepper and a touch of band aid lingering.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, thanks! Vintage 2008. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is candy, phenols, oxidation, leather, metallic rust. Body is medium, flat, candy sour, tart, fruity too. Still alive. Brett, yes. Clearly goes gueuze, does not quite get there. Good.

This beer was a bit a disappointment. Maybe my bottle got bad. 75cl bottle. This beer poured nice yellowy in the glass with a moderate head that disappeared not too fast. The taste was kind of watered down gueuze. Lacked complexity. Did I store that bottle too long?

750 ml bottle, I guess I can thank AdamJackson? Vintage is 2011. Aroma is is Brett, barnyard mild poop notes, dusty yeast and pale grain.

The flavor is wants to have some citrus but is just intensely sour, massive pucker that hurts my taste buds. Rotten grapes, funky, bad Brett. For me it’s entirely to sour. Overly tart.

Pale orange. 2 finger fluffy head. Smells intently sour. Lots of tropical fruits. This is so sour. Coats the teeth with chalk. Tart mango and lime and lemon. Got very sour with age.
