Commercial Description:
This is a beer that will make you rethink your definition of beer. It doesn’t taste like any beer you’ve ever had, yet it doesn’t taste like anything else either. Pushing the limits of brewing is what makes this job so much fun. Malted barley, wild yeast, hand picked Muscat Grapes, and French oak wine barrels are just a few of the things that went into crafting this beer. Breathe deep, take a long sip, and enjoy the creation in your hand.

Have had this one several times. This bottle was from batch 3. A: Pours a light cloudy shade of yellow. The head is very small and white in color. S: Aromas of sour sweet fruit, light tart citrus, and yeast. T: Citric for sure, nice light tartness with hints of tart and sweet grapes. Light barrel notes with a hint of earthy minerals. M: On the lighter side of medium nice carbonation. D: Not bad, not my favorite sour, but I do like it.

Bottle courtesy of fishingnet. Poured a clear, light golden color, very effervescent with no head. Nose is vinous with notes of apples, grapes, and funk. Thin to medium body with a crisp mouth feel and fizzy carbonation. Yum, this beer tastes good. Flavor is nicely tart and bretty, more apple and grape notes. Finishes clean. Thanks Ben!

750ml bottle (batch 2) from someone I just can’t remember. Rating #308. Very clear gold color with a small white head. Aroma is a little fruity, like green apples. Fruity, tart grapes in the flavor, nice and dry, very tasty. (1135)

750 ml bottle poured a cloudy golden yellow with a quickly disapating white head. Aromas of grapes, horseblanket, barnyard funk, straw, spice and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of straw, grapes, horseblanket, citrus, light spice and light earthiness with a crisp dry lingering tart funky finish.

Bottle thanks to Eric! Pours a cloudy yellow color with a tiny white head. A great sour ale nose; oak, sour grapes, yeast, powerful fragrant notes. The flavor is tart, nearly acidic, lemons, massive sour barrel and grapes, loads of funky fresh flavor. Very drinkable. A super drink.

Sampled at the SLC tasting 1/23/10
Appearance: Pours a cloudy straw color (looks like grapefruit juice), no head or lacing
Aroma: Sour fruits, sweet malts, oak, wheat
Taste: Tart, but some nice fruit, oak and sweet malts
This was a good sour beer. Not so sour that you loose your tastebuds and couldn’t taste anything else in the beer, but enough that you know your drinking a sour ale that was brewed great.

Acquired through a trade via glouglouburp in an attempt to console ajm’s box-jacking fiasco. Probably the best CL beer I’ve had, thus far. Reminds me a lot of RR Temptation. Pours golden in color with a white head. Loaded in aroma and flavor with tangerines, pepper, yeast, green grapes, and underripe citrus. I would drink this again, for sure.
