Sweet honey and hop aroma, with quite a high alcoholic tinge. Dry hop characters with no astringency and sligh caramel sweetnessto balance it out. Very smooth on the palate. rosenbergh (877), Helsinki, Finland

Clear amber/orange colour with small off-white head.
Fruity bitter hoppy aroma. Lots of maltiness and bitter hoppiness in flavour. Some yeast and alcohol warmth. Is this really Strong Lager? If so, very good. Nordcore (275), North of, Norway

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Draft. Golden with a little haze. Lovely hoppy aroma with notes of grape fruits, hay and lightly kilned malt. Bitter and dry; a true thirst quencher, however full-bodied, whick makes it a beer to sip and not a true lawnmower beer. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 3, 2009 Once you use amber malts and American hops it is outrageous to pretend this is a pilsner. It’s like trying to pass an Imperial Stout off as a superior pilsner. That said, this is delightful, sort of midway between a double and a triple American IPA, somewhere between Founders’ Double Trouble and Devil Dancer for bitterness and safely below their Devil Dancer for alcohol. Rich amber, not a pils. Cascade and Amarillo, with heavy notes of citrus and pine, not a pils. Great creamy mouth. Beautiful hazy gold with a huge foamy head, almost like a big Belgian. Just delightful. And a bonus point for pulling this off at 8% alcohol, also not a pils. Or a stout. But if I had thought I was buying a pils I would be truly angry. Miksu (2218), Jyväskylä, Finland

Sweet, perfumed, herbal and rubbery aroma. Toffeish, herbal and rubbery flavor with sharp and tart alcohol note. Boozy and sharp lager, not my pint of beer.
