Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pils, carapils and amber), light candy sugar, hops (amarillo and cascade) and lager yeast.

(Rating #2123)

Bottle 750 ?ml, Appearance: murky amber with large presentable head (medium density). Some lace on side. Aroma: gentle aromatic hopping , flowery side with mild smooth sweetness , barley and alcohol. Flavor/Palate: full bodied, mushy ,grainy. Oats with bitter hopping following drying alcohol. Interesting unfiltered character with potency hop spiced. Very drinkable , clean strong lager. Solid, world class brew.

At decaturstevos zapit tasting. Translucent orange pour with good white head. Sweet corn aroma. Pleasant caramel malt and earthy hoppiness with some alcohol warming on the finish. Did not care too much for this, but not bad.

Bottle from BEERmerchants.com. Amber with a thick and lasting off white foam which coats the glass. Nose is sweet biscuity malt, caramel, honey and lots of resinous grapefruit and floral hop notes. Flavor is much the same, good piney grapefruit and sweet malty caramel. Creamy palate with a nice bitter, hoppy finish, slight note of yeast and maybe a little pepper to boot. Wonderful...

Good sized sloppy off-white head of varying sized bubbles with good carbonation. Thick sheet of lacing remains long after the beer drains. Light and fruity aroma with some white grape, cereal malts, floral hops and some corn. Slightly misty dark orange. Light crisp and bitter flavor. Dry roasted red peanut skins, flowers, toast and spices. Noticable alcohol presence. Finishes dry and slightly bitter with some lingering heat and spices. Pretty darn good.
