Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

i guess for the quantity of this they brew it is not bad... it is watery at best, acid white head gone in seconds and the flavor (which is very faint) is certainly not going to upset anyone. i probably would not ever buy it but VPB brought some over to my house and hey, free beer is always good beer in my book. :-)

Typical lager, easy to drink nothing to remember afterthe bottle is finished. OK for lunch to flush down the food with.

Bouteille, bière blonde commerciale mais très agréable avec des plats relevés de l’Asie. Léger goût de houblon agréable, rafraichissante à souhait. une bonne Lager commerciale.

Not great. Looks like water. A light golden colour with no head. Aroma is very bready. Tastes like it looks, very little flavour and no impact whatsover on the palette. Even as a mass produced lager it ain’t great.

Bottle at home. Very pale golden pour, almost no head. Grainy skunked aroma and a very skunked watery flavor. No finish. Average carbonation. Quite dull.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Pours a pale gold with a very small foamy white head. The head doesn’t last long. Really struggled to get much from the nose on this one. Some stale grain and cardboard notes were about it. The taste is decidely bland with those oxidized notes carrying over in the flavor. An unrewarding bitterness chimes in too. The overaggressive carbonation doesn’t seem to help matters. Light on the palate with a weak, medium-short finish. Definitely pass this brew by.

Pale goldish yellow, medium soapy head. Aroma is very fresh with some hops at first but becomes extremely faint very quickly. Flavour is disappointing, watery with a weird bitterness. No drain pour but that’s it.

Bottle in China and at home in Sweden some years ago. Typical light lager, clear golden with a small head. Thin aroma and flavor, watery and boring. Some grass and bread, dry.

12 oz. pour from bottle. Low malt, low hops, low flavor. Still, for a beer from China (not exactly known for its beer making) it wasn’t too bad. Had one at a Chinese joint with my dinner. Actually went pretty well together.
