Feb 9, 2008 Bottle. Slightly sweet hop aroma. Hazy light copper colour. Very small head. The flavour has a caramelly and slightly flowery hopppiness. Not powerful, but OK hop level. Pleasant bitterness, slightly above medium. Simple but good.

Nov 14, 2009 Bottle, thanks to blankboy (I think). Medium yellow, quit light and clear really, nice foamy white head. Aroma is pretty standard for the style - fruity, a little sweet. Taste is surprisingly really hoppy - sharp citrus and pine, very bitter. Underlying sweet malt, light lively body. I really nice flavourful pale ale.

Jan 3, 2002 Very very nice. Malty, as others have noted, and great for times when you don’t want a huge hop aroma and taste...in other words, well balanced. Liked it alot, it just ’paled’ in comparison after the Humboldt pale last night.

Aug 24, 2009 Pours coppery with a medium white head. Aroma is lots of citrus hops. Flavor is lots of hops, grass, with a bit of honey/malt sweetness.

Mar 17, 2008 Bottle, 12 fl. oz. The beer pours nice clear and orange. The head is thick and white.Nice hoppy aroma, with fruits. The flavor is american hops with lots of fruits (orange, grape and citrus). The mouthfeel is nice and hoppy, with some of the citrus flavors that hangs in the mouth. Overall a very nice Pale Ale.

Nov 24, 2009 Golden/amber with thin head. Pine/citrus and orange nose. Spicy citrus hop flavor, malt only balances. Nice, spicier than anticipated.

Nov 23, 2009 Great pale ale. On tap at Rattle n Hum. I typically don’t thrill over standard pale ales, but this fella stands apart from the pack, perhaps because it is much hoppier than its peers. Anyway, pours a mild copper hue with a fine white head. Nose of citrusy hops. Flavor is heavy on the hops with a some malt thrown in to offset. Nice, bitter finish with a sticky aftertaste. Delicious.
