Cask, Melton Fest 07. Dark red and brown with an off-white head. Aromas are malty and vinous with berries. Flavours are weetabix malts with a light roast and smoky character. Some melon fruitiness. Quite sweet. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Cottage, Bristol 23/5/07. Deep-ruddy brown with a foamy, tan head. Aroma of sweet malts and dark fruit with some accompanying roasted notes. Toffeeish flavour with some hops in the finish. This beer is an attempt to recreate the old Smiles Exhibition and comes pretty close in doing so. Very good.
