Commercial Description:
Bottled (pasteurised).
NOTE: Only ratings for the bottled version here. The cask version has a seperate entry.
Available in cask (described as "Cask Pilsner"), and in bottle ("Highland Pilsner"), this beer is a delicious straw-coloured session beer, dominated by crisp, fresh, citrus hop character from classic German "noble hops".
Brewed with a balance of best British Ale Malt and Lager Malt, this beer exhibits a pale straw colour. The aroma combines a zesty attack and an apricot fruitiness with the subtle floral hop notes of the Styrian Golding, Saaz and Hallertauer Hersbrucker hops.
Moderate levels of residual sweetness are balanced by a crisp, well-rounded bitterness to give a clean, refreshing mouthfeel in the best traditions of pilsners – pint after pint!

Flaske 0,33l kjøpt på Centra Colosseum, Oslo. Veldig lys gylden. Litt uklar.

Bottle at home. Clear straw golden - white head. Light malty, straw, hay, grainy, grassy, light wood notes, citrus, light zesty, light spruce, light light sweetness. High drinkability. Nice.

500ml botle. Very light pale gold colour with an even layer of white foam. Very hazy and cloudy with a strong lemon aroma. Smells like a radler. Quite bitter and tart, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste.

Bottled. A golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of honey, fruit, flowery hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, flowery hops, and a bit of fruit, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Bottle, 33cl, from Centra, Oslo. BB Feb 2010. Nice white head, reducing to a persistent lacing. Pale golden colour. Light floral hoppy aroma with citrus. The aroma continues nicely in the mouth, but suddenly all but disappears and leaves with a weak, dry aftertaste.

15th July 2008. ’Brewed from the purest highland water’. Surprisingly deep gold for it’s abv. Smooth and very mild malt gives way to a crisp bite in the finish with a little bitterness at the very end. Nice pilsner.

Very nice citrusy ale type lager. Low in ABV and not that like a pils but very nice nevertheless.
