(Bottle, shared by Beermouth, thanx) A lttle hazyness, whte head. Aroma is oddly weak; mix of old and new leaves. Has a slight malt feel in the finish, no real hop-feal. Bad storage maybe? Brewed feb. 2006.,so the datehas an influence too I guess;)

Bottle dated 12/16/09. Pours a clear golden orange with with a fluffy white head. wonderful citrus hop with some tropical fruit, a bit of malt. Tastes like what imagine candied hops would be. smooth, medium mouthfeel with a dry finish. This is much better than I remembered.

Bottle. Almost clear amber, small beige head. Low bead, with just some tiny bubbles persisting. Aroma has some caramel under a bracing hop nose which is more pine than grapefruit. Taste is bitter but balanced by rich caramel and nutty malt. Lingering bitter finish. Very nice and pretty balanced.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is mildly roasted and malty, and the flavour is quite bitter and very well hopped. Overall quite an average well hopped beer.

12oz bottle. Pours a light honey body topped with a bit of off-white head that leaves lots of lacing. Nose is citrus (orange), light spruce, bready and a little grassy. Flavor is piney, orange zest, slightly floral and balanced malt sweet. Medium citrus/floral bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel.

A: The pour is a clear light amber color with a thin white head which dissipates to a thin layer but leaves some nice sticky lacing. S: The nose is mildly hoppy with some pine and grapefruit. There’s quite a bit of toasty, bready malt in the background as well. T: The flavor is more reminiscent of a pale ale than an IPA. The bitterness is there with some nice resinous pine quality, but not all that much in the way of citrus character. The malt is again toasty and fairly pronounced on the front end. M: The body is medium with a low to moderate level of carbonation and a lingering bitterness on the tongue. D: As I mentioned, this is quite similar to a pale ale and as such, is quite easy to drink. Certainly one of the tamer DFH offerings, but sometimes that’s a good thing.

Lovely nose of gentle citrus and a hint of candy. Pours medium copper. Flavour is more of the same - grapefruit, honey, more citrus. Finish is gently bitter and moreish.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Pale amber in colour, with an off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of pine, citrus and sweet malts. Flavour of biscuit malts and fruity hops, with a dry, hoppy finish. Well-balanced and enjoyable.
