Don’t get muchmore then hops ,more like a light IPA rather then APA, The lightness and dryness of the taste does surprise, seems like American hops with German grain malt backing, only the hopping puts this above a macro, tastes like aGerman attempt at an APA, the hops and dryness do make this very thirstquenching, this would be an excellent first brew after a bike ride or jog

Aroma is bready, slightly fruity and wooden as well as slightly herbal. Flavour is quite much the same. A rather dry pale ale which probably is near to it’s best before by now... milewide (650), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 23, 2010 Weak grain aroma, and nothing but grain in the taste. Did have some lingering hop bitterness---that wasn’t in the aroma or taste. Light amber color, and thin body. Not a memorable brew! arminjewell (471), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 8, 2010 Pours amber with white head, aroma is citrusy with a bit of malt. Taste up front is orange and lemon, tangy, and heads into a bit of bready/caramel sweetness that bitters a bit at the end. Not a bad session beer. Goblincat (362), Westland, Michigan, USA

The taste is smoother than I expected, with much less bitterness than I thought it would have. Real smooth, but overall nothing stands out flavor-wise. Quite drinkable overall. theisti (1760), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 30, 2009 12 oz twist off capped bottle sent to me by my winter 2009 Secret Santa. Pour is ever so slight haze golden yellow with a one inch white head that falls with big bubbles and some light lacing. Aroma of some faint orange and vanilla sweetness, along with only a whisper of dusty toasty grain. Taste is the dustcy tasted garin malt up front, followed by a sharp sweet orange fruit and bitter orange peel, finishing with a bit of a cardboard dirtiness. Palate is medium to thin bodies, above average carbonation, and a lingering wet cardboard aftertaste. I think there is a decent beer in here somewhere, but its lost in the dusty cardboard - perhaps too much travel or age? Even still, its an easy drinking beer and I had no trouble finishing it. Thanks for sending this one my way Santa. lithy (1925), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 4, 2009 12oz can. Pours a bright, clear, apricot-golden color; thin off-white head with light retention and patchy lacing. Light, slightly hoppy aroma showing citrus and mineral bitterness, lemony with a touch of honey; quiet, crisp nose. Medium mouthfeel: relaxed carbonation, good levels of acidity on the edges; lively, citrus and mineral hop character at the forefront, showing some juiciness and solid bitterness; not bad, and reasonably drinkable, but just not enough clarity in the hop presence and a touch too light. Lasting bitterness: minerals and lightly toasted malts.
