Dark copper colour with a small but longlasting off-white head that hangs on to the edges of my snifter. Aroma is tropical fruit, extremely inviting, fruity with only a small caramell malt presence. Flavour is similar with the addition of a rather harsh bitter finish (which I like.) This brew will kick your ass if youre not carefull. Innocent lovely smell, badass bitter end.

This is just a personal preference and not a mistake on the style. Hell, when you have a beer weighing in with 168 IBU! and it is still pretty smooth--that takes some talent. I really like that fact that Hoppin Frog is beginning to build an international reputation--that’s right international--and they are located in right here in Ohio. There is nothing better than cheering on a "local" brewer that has made it big on reputation. Akron is a more than a hop from Cincinnati, but there is not much to cheer about down here. wyzzywyz22 (933), Wirral, Merseyside, England

Apparently a Manalishi is some sort of money grabbing attention seeking whore...well the struttin frog caught me eye and this is a top class IPA ,dodgy connotations apart...
Poured a slightly hazy orange colour with a medium sized frothy then lingering beige head. Aroma was caramelo malt and plenty of resin sodden pine hop, grapefruit, and a touch of yeast. Pretty full bodied affair. Taste was somewhat similar to the nose, slightly seweet with some robust citrus hop action . Lingering dry bitter finish. Winner. misterbeer (129), greenwood, Indiana, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 5, 2010 Pours deep orange with fluffy white head, aroma is huge and chewy pine and floral hops with some citrus notes. Taste up front is a bit subdued pine and citrus hops moving into a sweet caramel base with a bitter finish. A bit disappointing after the aroma, but a nice beer nonetheless. allfreej (385), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 26, 2010 Dark amber brown color. Big dry hopped pineapples, citrus, hemp, very heady nose. Raspberries, pineapples, very hoppy, but not bitter mouth, little backbone. Not sweet, very odd. Dry hopped to hell, but fun fun and fun. Wow. Unique and great. Very little bitterness in finish. bubbleflubber (945), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 23, 2010 Pours translucent amber into the glass, with a huge 4-finger ice cream head that leaves chunky lace. The nose is of HUGE pine hops... gorgeous. The flavors are of drier caramel malts, with lots of resinous pine and floral hops. There are great orange rind, zest and peel layers throughout. The mouthfeel is exceptionally smooth for the style, and it makes for an easy quaff. The ABV is well-hidden, and the texture is substantial and full-bodied. Very nice Impy IPA, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
