| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Bottled. A hazy dark red beer with a t hin tan head. The aroma has strong notes of hops lending it citrusy notes, but also notes of fruits leaning on being over ripe and hence very sweet on a malty back ground. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt, caramel, over ripe fruits, and medium notes of hops, the latter lending it notes of citrus, leading to a very bitter finish. The over ripe fruits gives it a good body. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. yespr (12020), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Aroma is mild caramelish and vague fruity. Roasted malty, vague breadish and oxidised touch. Bitter and dry finish with a mild toffeeish touch. Papsoe (14904), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Very sweet caramel aroma with an oxidized edge. Medium body, again caramel with some nuttiness. Faint hoppiness. 091109 smcolw (335), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2009 I have heard about this brewery for a couple of years but have yet to find any their beers offered in New England. I found this one at a restaurant in Atlanta.
Traditional neutral amber color. Mild head with no specific lace.
The aroma most closely resembles warmed milk to me. I don’t detect any specific malts or hops but it is overall appealing.
The taste is better than most. I particularly enjoy the balance. There’s a solid (lighter) malt base with a pleasant hop counterpoint--not really bitter or biting. The body is okay, but the carbonation seems to be a little high. beerbill (1946), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a reddish amber with a thin-moderate tan head that faded by the second sip and left a spotty film on the glass. The aroma is sweet malt along with some notes of syrupy orange. The flavor is sweet malt that has a bit of earthiness to it along with some iced tea and brown sugar. Mild bitterness at the finish. Although I like malty beers and I like sweet beers, this one just doesn’t quite do it for me. GJF (498), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 12, 2009 Copper color, tan head. A bit of fruity malt, an earthy finish. Certainly not bad, but just not that much to it either. Butters (1646), Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Pours a clear deep rusty amber with solid tan head. Nose is very malty with hints of hops. Flavor is similar, but a little musty and dusty. Old bottle I guess. Lingering floral semi-bitterness on the finish. This is actually pretty tasty fresh though.
