Commercial Description:
A unique Highland creation, this robust beer is black in color, very malty with hints of chocolate-roasted flavor and a well balanced hop character.

Different combination but I dig it. Easy drinker. Good balance between sweet, roasty then a hoppy finish. Maybe a tad thin palate and a little dry to boot but most brews w/ oatmeal tend to be that way, or so I’ve found.

Clear, dark bronze with deep ruby highlights. Rocky beige head. Dark chocolate in the nose, with hints of charred earth and wood, faint spice of hops. A little bitey up front, then bitter bakers chocolate mixed with orange peels. Kinda harsh, but finishes thick with black malt.

pours a dark brown, but not totally solid, with hints of amber, a thin layer of tan cream head stayed on the beer the whole time. has a very malty aroma, nothing else really going on there. a little sweetness, alot of maltiness in the flavor, just a tad taste of chocolates towards the end. a little bitter on the tail, and it stays in your mouth after each swallow. a medium body, with a nice mouthfeel. this was my first brew from this brewer, and i am looking forward to the rest of their fare i have in my cellar. thanks to goldtwins for this.

Pours really thick. Small head that disappeared. Roasted brown in color. Nutty, chocolatey aroma. Definitley a roasted taste to it. I can see where user en thinks it’s watery.

12oz - Dark brown, off white creamy head. Soft toasty coffee and vanilla roast aromas warm to lighter notes of chocolate oatmeal. Light milk chocolate cocoa and roasty coffee flavors round to a bittersweet finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A decent drinkable porter..

Dark brown and ruby body. The tan head is thick with small bubbles. The aroma is caramel, chocolate and a little coffee. The taste has roasted peanuts and milk chocolate. Nice.

Bottled: Red brown coloured. Off white head. Malty and chocolaty aroma. Flavour is sweet and chocolaty with a hoppy and light roasty edge. Is light watery and thin. Thanks SpringsLicker for trading this.

Pours porter color except for the lack of head. Aroma of typical porter except for a bit if tin. Taste is very malty with a bittersweet chocolate. Perhaps they use a very high quality chocolate. Very smooth with a bit of a lively mouth. Nice.
