Good taste; wanted a bit more but still had solid flavor and bitterness. freekyp (922), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2010 Pours a slightly cloudy maize with a fluffy but quickly receding white head. Ample lacing coats the glass. The aroma is citric with orange notes. Flavor is hop forward with an aggressive start and bitterness settling in on the sides of the tongue in the finish. Ample carbonation washes away the little malt character leaving a long bitter aftertaste. Cascade is apparent in the aftertaste as the grapefruit character shows through. jeremytoni (1293), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jan 15, 2010 Bottle. Ok IPA aroma, lemon rind, orange. Flavor a little peppery, nicely bitter, but kind of abortive. beernovice39 (449), South Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2010 My first from Highland. This stuff looks like apple juice! Fruity scent. Ugh, must be a bad bottle. Just not much here, bitter comes through but not much else. MartinT (5138), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 8, 2010 My Bottom Line :
Biscuity pale cereals support leafy and fruity hops, sculpting a sessionable India Pale Ale with a charming wooden hop bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam laces atop the peachy golden haze.
-The aroma could use better hop definition (more dry-hopping with different varieties?). As is, there is nothing that makes the mouth water.
-The mouthfeel is beautifully rendered; cushiony, never thin, softly carbonated, very drinkable.
-As an IPA in the US, this one will not get the praise it might deserve, but as an English-style IPA, this is spot-on, nicely balanced and easily sessionable.
Bottle.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 6, 2010 12oz bottle bottled on 11/10/09. Pours clear amber with a one finger off white head, light head retention, some lacing. Aroma is subdued but has resinous, grassy hops, light bread, caramel. Flavor is some grassy, resinous hops, caramel malt, lingering bitterness on the finish. Slick, but a bit watery mouthfeel, medium/high carbonation. Average. HonkeyBra (1465), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2010 Bottle from my secret santa. Thanks Santa! Orange pour with light white head. Aroma of grassy hops, lemon grass, maybe some chamomile. Flavor is smooth and dry with grassy hops and dry piney hops. A bit of bready malt. Nice mouthfeel, good carbonation. Pretty solid session beer.
