COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Imperial English Golden Ale brewed with honey and sunflower seeds. A distinct aroma of peanut butter emits from this deep golden caramel colored ale, undoubtedly the result of the unique combination of ingredients used. Enjoyable honey flavors dominate the simple malt profile with a bright sweetness that flows pleasantly into a unique nuttiness. This perfect blend of flavors lead into a finish that’s not overly sweet, bitter, or dry, but a wonderful balance of all three qualities.

9/8/2010 6:10:42 AM Bottle shared at Beer Temple with Bierkoning staff. Murky golden body with slight head. Nose is malty and sunflowers detectable although I never would have guessed them if it wasn’t for the label. Nice sweet and fruity flavour. Warms in the finish. The sunflowers are not all that welcome though, to be honest.

Small offwhite head. Clear reddish body with carbonation. Fruity sherry and paper aroma with waxy dark honey notes. Dry-sweet earthy fruity taste with waxy oily sherry notes. Mid-to-full body. Sharpish, slightly hot mouthfeel. Dryish mealy fruity oily aftertaste with papery toffee notes. Nice, very harmonic, drinkable, highly unusual. (0.75l bottle, shared by hcalsos.)

tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - APR 28, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2015 Tap: Amber-copper, muddled & hazy with a head that seems a strange shade of gray & off-white. Aroma is loaded with honey crusted biscuit malt. Light herbal hops, leafy & dry with a mild vegetal character in the back. Slightly salty sunflower seeds grow with warmth. Taste is comprised of sweet honey, toffee malt, herbaceous hops, ash, & a back-end that is unmistakably sunflower seeds. Crazy & unique, but the roasted sunflower seed taste gets super powerful with some warmth, & eventually it seems like that’s all you can taste. It’s unique & weird, but not something I can drink a whole pint of (easily, anyway). I certainly admire the effort here, though.
