| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Golden, darker than SNPA with a dense white pillow of a head, smells hint of citrus hops, . Delicious, well balanced and something I could drink several of. This is a beer that is hoppy but subtle. More flavorful than SNPA but not as good as Celebration. Sierra Nevada was probably one of the first micro-brews I drank, about ten years ago, so congrats to them on twenty-seven years. Honorable mention goes out to the label as I think it is their best so far. Hopefully they will send some bottles of Harvest Ale this way.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Enjoyed via tap in a pub glass. The beer pours a light amber to almost straw-colored, with a nice white head that lasts throughout its consumption. The nose is all hops, showing a tremendous amount of Cascade, and perhaps just a bit of Centennial or Amarillo. The palate is very firmly bitter, almost in the category of something like Stone Ruination. Malt sweetness does come through, but probably not to the extent that it should, Hop bitterness and flavor dominate the palate, perhaps to just slightly too great an extent. Overall, a very well done and rather "sessionable" IPA at 5.9%abv. angrybeerman (142), Dublin, Ireland

Nose was hops, citrus, and pine. Sweet taste with a good balance between everything, I must say this is a best buy when on sale, a good everyday beer for a hophead. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Bottle. Poured pale orange amber with white/off white head. Citrusy/grapefuit, hoppy aroma. Hoppy, piney flavour with fine malt balance. Bitter, hoppy finish. DeeBee21 (52), NH, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Pretty clear apricot pour, white frothy head. Aroma mostly of grapefruit bitterness, some lemon zest and a light earthy/woodiness as well. . Flavor did not live up to the aroma for an IPA standing in my opinion. A little flat, with just an offbeat citrus hoppyness, and a sweeter finish then expected. Certainly not terrible just not as bold as I picture most IPA.
