Aroma is much like a white wine, fruity with yeast. Pours hazy straw yellow with a nice white head. Taste is yeast, light fruit much like a white wine. Very enjoyable. tripelthreat (89), Soquel, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2010 2008 750ml bottle from CIty Beer. Light gold body with a messy white head. Nose is a big burst of banana right off the bat and then is gone, honey, apple, white wine, floral, a touch of cinnamon, and some underlying herbs. Flavor is vinous and moderately sweet, not as interesting as the aroma. Finishes with a bit of bitterness and growing peppery spice. Medium body and concealed the alcohol well. Very nice, just lacking a bit of complexity flavor-wise. fonefan (12484), VestJylland, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2010 Bottle 75cl. @ Chris O’s Night of the Gaylords. Unclear hazy light to medium yellow orange color with a huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, spicy, citrus, fruity, light to moderate yeasty, spicy - chamomile - nettle. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sour, peppery. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2010 750ml bottle with a cork that popped out so fast it almost took my eye out. Expected overflow of off-white head that left a ring - eventually. Dirty straw yellow color. Aroma of lemon, pear and pepper. Taste is... peppery, very peppery. With citrus lemon and floral sourness along the way. Tacky dry finish. Sharp champagne type carbonation and a creamy texture - which basically slowed down the sour attack. Ok - not my thing though. bluejacket74 (65), Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2010 750 ml caged and corked bottle, cork says 2009 on it. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a gold color with about an inch and a half frothy white head. Head retention is good, with a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is lemon, peppery spice, tart apples, and some chamomile, bananas and cloves. Great smelling brew. As far as the taste goes, the spice comes out the strongest, with the pepper, chamomile and clove flavors showing up the most. There’s also some lemon and banana noticable too, but the spicy flavors overpower the fruity ones. The finish is also spicy (peppery). Mouthfeel/body is light/medium and is well carbonated. Drinkability is decent, it’s not hard to drink but there’s a bit too much carbonation for my liking. I think this is a decent overall brew, I’ll have to try more of Saint Somewhere’s products soon. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2010 A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s Night of the Gaylords. Milky lemon yellow colour with a good white head. Big lemon pepper aroma with an awesome lambic like sourness. Flavour is amazing. Cinnamon, white and black pepper, again, lots of lambic like sour goodness with all the usual saison stuff you would expect behind it. Lovely and dry on the palate with the tarty stuff making it really clean. Great stuff. harrisoni (7016), Ashford, Kent, England

Thanks to Ruth for bringing this back from her conference. Cloudy pale gold lasting beige head. Lemony pepper, lots of white pepper, awesome aroma. Lemon and white pepper dominate throughout. Awesome, stunning. askofficerfriendly (344), Riverview, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 10, 2010 : Light yellow in color almost pear like. Mildly cloudy with very little head and no lacing.
S: One wonderful smelling beer. The aroma is off the scale on this one. There is a big aroma of candied sugar, pear, orange, mint, and apple. There is also a ton of spice mixed in.
T: The flavor is almost as nice as the aroma. Tons of sweet fruits. Peach apricot and apple. Spices like nutmeg, spearmint, and a hint of cinnamon. Like no other Saison I have ever tasted.
M: Medium bodied nice light carbonation.
