Commercial Description:
"XP" is the abbreviation for Exceptional Pale Ale. This is our interpretation of a classic pale ale. Our "XP" (exceptional pale) has a golden color, and is very light bodied with a noticeable hop aroma and bittering element that just teases the hopheads but satisfies the newest of microbrewed ale drinkers. This beer is brewed with American Two Row, English wheat, Belgian, and Dextrin malts. Mix this with just the right amounts of Cascade and Centennial hops and you've got a winner!!

Bomber. Exceptional Pale Ale with the perfect balance of hops and bitterness. This is extremely drinkable and refreshing without hitting you on the head with its hop levels.

0.65 l bottle at Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Amber color with particulates. Juicy hop aroma with orange, apricot and toffee. More juicy hops in the flavor with orangey and peppery hops. Minerally finish. Drinkable very hop-forward pale ale.

Pours a rich amber, with good transluscence and minimal head. I mostly pick up caramel, bread (with honey?), and some fruits (citrus). Flavor matches the aroma nicely, except for being sweeter than it needs to be. Palate is surprisingly complex, starting with the honey and caramel, moving to the bread-dough, and finishing with some of the bittersweet fruit... almost like a kiwi. This is all fainter than it should be however, and ultimately the beer leans too much on the sweet character.

Bottle. Pours a darkish amber (pretty clear) with a little white head and aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and a little caramel malt. Flavor is sweet malt (honey bread) with a minimal amount of the hops from the aroma shining through. A little bit of citrus adds bitterness mid palate and then things get tropical and sweet for the finish. This is a little bit stickier and sweeter than anticipated.

Bottled 65cl @Monks Cafe
Amber color, small white head. Citrus, bread, some barnyard aroma. Bready, slighty sweet fruity (watermelon). Pale malty. Very typical American Pale Ale.

The pour is a nice deep amber color with a decent white head on it.The smell is a nice combination of malts and hops. The taste is a fairly balanced between the hops and malt flavors. Nothing too exciting, a little less bitter than your typical pale. Overall it’s a pretty good pale with a medium body and slight bitterness which seems to make it a decent session beer for me.
