| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Bottle. Say, this is really tasty. Cloudy amber/orange with a somewhat grey tint to it and a big greyish-off white head. Lots of hops and Belgian sugars on the nose; reminiscent of some De Dolle brews in its strange funky earthiness, but with more citrus/resiny hops. Some saddle leather; malt. Spicy notes that remind me of rye. Dried fruits such as apricots, peaches, mangos and plums. Also a bit of an ashy note to it, in a good way. It seems like some people are rating this against American IPA’s, which just seems like the wrong way of going about it -- this is a different style, and I’d say it’s different from any other Belgian IPA I’ve had. This is a very, very good beer.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 12, 2010 Bottle. A glowing reddish orange color with a big foamy off-white head. A woodsy, sweet fruity malts, grapefruit, brown sugar, and dripping with hops aroma. Intensely bitter and dry on the palate in a way that overwhelms any subtleness of complex flavors.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2010 Bronze with red tints and a generous tan head. Aroma of dry hops, pine, some citrus, maybe grapefruit. Slightly grassy. Flavor of carmel malts, sweet fruits, slightly sour with a bitter finish. Only slightly hoppy. phaleslu (797), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2010 11.2 oz. bottle from Belmont Party Supply in Dayton. Pours a hazy orange-brown color with a big tan head that leaves some spotty lacing in the glass. Aroma of Belgian yeast, candi sugar, hops, caramel malt, pineapple, and a little orange citrus. Flavor of caramel malt, candi sugar, Belgian yeast, mixed fruits (pineapple, orange, apple), hops, and alcohol. Sweet, tart, and just a little bitter. I don’t understand some of the ’too hoppy’ comments on this one, as it’s not even close to the level of bitterness of a lot of other DIPAs. It’s a pretty good take on the style, with an unmistakable Belgian influence. kappldav123 (2018), Markkleeberg, Germany
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 6, 2010 The bottle looks simple, the beer in the glass much better. Deep orange, huge head. Aroma like a barley wine. Starts very strong, but not alcoholic, intense hoppy and fresh, quite woody, also very fruity notes of apricot. Finish spicy-earthy, well balanced, modest sweet notes in the background. A wonderful beer! randy1301 (44), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 6, 2010 Bottle.Pours a darkish amber color with a vibrant somewhat thin head.Nose is sweet citrus hops.Meduim body with hops and malts damn near flawless in unison.I taste the heavy hops(130 ibu’s) but the malts smooth it out so very nicely. It’s probably safe to say this is the smoothest 130 ibu beer in the world? You can just tell the time and love put into this brew.I’m a big fan and this is a cool experience trying this offering. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2010 Bottle from the local shared at beer club. Hazy orange amber pour, large off white head. Some awesome lacing on this bad boy, prettiest I’ve seen. Bit of malt in the nose meld with the hops. Very nice flavor, not in your face or overly hoppy or sweet. Elongates at the finish with a clean bitterness that lasts and lasts. coldbrewky (799), Saugerties, New York, USA

Oh hell, there in the micro script it lies.....Wow what pretty lacing you have after a full pour and three inches of settling head. WOW Looonggg body of wavy hops and malts....surprisingly light and lofty body. Gentle and undulating. 130 IBU??? YMBM!!!! Chalsk (133), North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 25, 2010 Pours a light brown thick haze with a very generous head. Has the grapefruit and hop aroma of a double IPA. The alcohol pulls through as well. True to its description, I am not blown away at 130 IBUs. But regardless this is a very tasty IPA. It is a bit more honeyed than your typical IPA, maybe a little heavier on the malt as well. High carbonation level with a clean dry finish. Medium body.
