Bottle. Clear red color. Soft cherry aroma. Initial cherry flavor, almost vinous, with cherry pits, oak, marzipan and leather. Bitter walnuts. Plastic. Bone dry, but surprisingly thin and watery. A bit disappointing.

Bottle: Almost clear, bigger loose pinkish head, that quite quickly collapses, deep reddish-amber coloured; dry sourish fruity (cherries, what else) and - not artificial(!) - almondy nose with some malt underneath; quite dry sour-bitter flavour with a well hidden sweetness, medium bodied; solid fruity and almondy finish, balanced by a delicate malty sweetness. What a surprise! A fine brew......

Bottle @ pre-GBBF shindig, August 2009. Pink & pleasant. Fruit comes through well - seems real rather than artificial. Some bretty farmyard and tart notes. Crisp and refreshing. Very little residual sweetness. I wasn’t expecting too much but got a pleasant surprise.

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, reddish brown colour with a collapsing red frothy head. Moderately sweet and yeasty almondy cherry-fruity aroma with a delicate malt character. Moderately sour and slightly bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Dry cherry-fruity and slightly malty taste with notes of almonds; dry fruit-accented and slightly bitter finish with a delicate malty sweetness. Well-rounded and moreish brew. 13.I.09

Red coloured beer with medium reddish head and medium carbonation. Fruity aroma, with some chocolate hints. Full sour sparkling palate. Finish is fruity sour though balanced, there’s also a metallic touch.

Bottle at the legend of chriso’s pre GBBF09 tasting. Alround rating: Tart kriek, lots of tannins, balanced, good dark cherry character.
