1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
0.5L bottle. Clear pale with a white head. Some cereal aromas and herby hop, but muted. Flavor is nothign to write home about: mild sweet and herby hop. Light body with a thin mouthfeel. Another mass-produced, and not that tasty continental lager.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The best of the three major mass-produced beers in Portugal (the others being Sagres and Imperial). Of course, this is a little like being the best surfer in North Dakota. It’s about Budweiser quality or slightly better (a bit hoppier).

Had a few in Lisbon, another commercial lager, not much to say about this one.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
250ml bottle poured in a chalice.
Traditional Portuguese Lager: Which means quite tasteless. To be avoided.
A: Golden to yellow to orange color. Clean. Medium (1 finger) white head which dissipates leaving no lacings
S: Authentic American Adjunct Lager smell, which means: Not good. Artificial smell of malts (most probably corn). A bit of hops as expected
T: Like the nose, not impressive. Malt and hops. The taste of corn jeopardizes it a lot. Too light bitter end
M: Light body. Reasonable carbonation and light bitter end

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
330ml bottle. Pale yellow color. Medium size, white head, stays. Nasty, malty, eggy aroma. Sourish, malty, citrus, juicy, lemonade in taste. Medium carbarbonation. Malty aftertaste. Nasty stuff.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The best of the three major mass-produced beers in Portugal (the others being Sagres and Imperial). Of course, this is a little like being the best surfer in North Dakota. It’s about Budweiser quality or slightly better (a bit hoppier). When in Portugal, drink one of the hundreds of fabulous wines. If you must have a beer, have a Super Bock.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
330ml bottle (Tolly, Tartu)
Initially farty aroma, corny, then some cheap limeade. Pale but a nice tight head. Very watery taste, starchy, wallpaper paste. Finish a little astringent with nasty chemical hops. Do want to scape my tongue. Very not good, but just short of horror.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Lidl. Aroma metallic and bad. Clear yellow colour. Taste is rather sweetish, honeyish malt. Acceptable, but poor nonetheless.
