Lot# LG037
Pours dark brown, mocha/tan head.
aroma of oat, chcolate malts, yeasty with some roast, dark fruits seem to add some bitterness to the aroma, as it warms up, some dark chocolate came through.
flavors, dry mouthfeel, some hops adding a thinly bitter palate that is auickly followed by yeast, dark sugar, oat and some bitter chocolate malts.
Med-high carbonation, and could not help but notice a light spicy touch with a lingering astringent fruit that dampers the whole experience of what could be a nice stout.
Nickls (2680) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - MAY 11, 2010Bottle.
Pours with a quickly disappearing tan head; deep, dark brown almost mahogany color. Roasted malts in the aroma at first; little bit of sweetness and bittersweet chocolate; faint bit of yeast and alcohol, but that’s barely detectable as it warms. Flavor is actual fairly decent. Bittersweet chocolate and a light roastiness that ends with a very slight sweetness. Thinner body and a bit chalky with very subtle carbonation. Drinks pretty well. Not a bad brew, but nothing excellent. Mild. Would have liked a bit more body and a little more out of the aroma.
yespr (55595) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 19, 200933 cL bottle, courtesy of Bov. Pours dark brown to black with a small, lacing and tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and distinct doughy yeasty - rather unpleasant yeast aroma. Roasted malt flavoured, light chocolate and coffee like and a mild chalky touch. The yeasty notes are slightly hidden - but still identifiable. Ends roasted and light yeasty from back of the nose. Increasing fruity and vague sourish note for each sip with a slowly declining yeast presence.

Almost opaque black, coffeeish head. Sour vinegar nose. Sourish and coffeish flavor. Carbonated. Glueish and coffeish aftertaste. I wonder if sourness is intensional or not...
