UPDATED: SEP 26, 2023 Bottle from Bistro Pulpo in Basel. Slightly hazy pale yellowish beer with a nice thick white head. Pleasant grainy wheat body, light yeast character, actually a nice hint of bitterness in the finish. Not bad.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2021 24.7.2021: From tap at Restaurant Fischerstube, Basel, 5.4% ABV. Hazy pale straw-yellow color with a white head. The aroma is lightly to medium yeasty and spicy with cloves, nutmeg, banana, some pear and wheat. Medium body with a light to medium sweetness and a light bitterness. Flavor of sweet cereals, biscuit, wheat, phenolic notes followed by lots of cloves, lots of spices and cinnamon. Becomes very spice dominated towards the finish. Finishes with wheat, spicy notes of cloves and a light bitterness. Decent Hefeweizen with a lot of spice flavors. Aroma: 6 Appearance: 4 Taste: 6 Palate: 4 Overall: 12

Tap at the brewery. Pretty, glowing, cloudy orange. Nicely fruity nose, banana, melon, orange, light tropical fruit. Flavor is fruity, wheaty, estery. Finishs dry. Light body. Bit of bubble gum.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma of bubble gum. Flavors of wheat and citrus. Smooth finish. Nice weissen.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2016 0.5l flip-top bottle from globus in basel. pours a hazy pale orange with a frothy white head. aroma of coriander, yeast, eggs?, a bit harsh. no bananas? flavour of coriander and soap. something?s wrong with this bottle.

500ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Basel (4.50 CHF):
Fruity tasting & pleasant with a lively feel & good, strong carbonation. Lots of flavour with bananas dominating but not overpowering thanks to some bubblegum & various other fruits & flavours helping to balance things out; an excellent offering & definitely the best of the three from the brewery that I’ve tried.

Tap at Fischerstube. Pleasant bananas, crisp, bit with a rather low and short lived foam, thus a bit flat pretty soon. Otherwise a pretty good draft, though.

Nice yeasty banana aroma. Taste is similar with lots of banana and bubblegum notes. A nice weizen but nothing special.

100ml, 5.4 % abv, draught at the brewpub. A wheat haze to golden body. A bubbly ring at the surface. Dotted spots on the glass. Spiced fruity aroma with banana sweetness. Flavours of ripe banana, wheat, and clove with a touch of citrus to the ending. Medium bodied. Not overly sweet, decent version of the style (Basel 27.07.2014).
