Good display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma of liquorish, chocolate, coffee and some underlying roasted malt, caramel and hint of floral hoppy bitterness. Medium plus bodied with an average carbonation and maybe a hint of dry texture. Flavor was moderated bitter with some counter sweetness. Finish is dominating bitter chocolate like that lingers. Quit nice. Not the correct brew to have with Chimay, Corsendonk and Westmalle cheeses, still a very nice beer! gnoff (3588), Göteborg, Sweden
