Slightly grainy aroma with a hint of candied red fruit, not getting too much out of the aroma. On the palate I love this beer until the mid-palate which is where it gets a bit flabby and finishes with a slightly tart, watery feel. Has so much promise at the beginning but just fades off. Bummer. Medium body, moderately high carbonation, very low alcohol warmth. Decent. Sammy (4268), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 12, 2009 12 oz. can. Pours a thin head without lacing, over a clear, light amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is mild toffee, mild hop (grass).....taste is slightly sweet to start, leading to a mild bitter finish, with a harsh mildly metallic ending.....mouth feel is light, carbonation average. I did not care for this. It was unbalanced, rather light overall. There are many in this style which are better. drfabulous (1338), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 23, 2009 On draught at brewpub. Waitress said it is the brewpub’s best selling beer. And it looks like it is now canned. Ok taste. Basic amber. Some metallic taste mixed in. VitaminR (470), Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Strawberry honey nose, hints of caramel. Deep copper color, medium frothy head. Malty lemon sweetness, basic bitterness for balance. Medium carbonation and body, fullish mouth feel, finish is toasted crackers with honey and orange rind. Easy drinking beer with just enough complexity to keep it interesting. notalush (2789), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Picked up a can of this in a mix-a-six - what do you get when you brew an OFest with ale yeast? - apparently, you get an amber ale, because that’s what this tastes like - not a bad amber ale, though, just a wee bit boring, as most amber ales tend to be - some bready malt and cereal grains eventually make way for some drier malt character that compliments the eventual hop bite at the end - refreshing, medium-bodied - fairly clean - no discernible flaws; it’s just boring.
