[Bottle] Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is pretty nice, with very deeply roasted malt, and a good deal of chocolate. The taste begins sweet before transitioning to deeply roasted malt. There is also coffee, lighter chocolate than the aroma, and a lot of grain. Fairly thin, with a long finish. The char gets to be a bit much, but it is still a decent beer.

Pours jet black. Lots of chocolate in the aroma. Taste is heavy roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and nuts. Medium to heavy body. Not as creamy as the typical oatmeal stout. Good overall taste profile though. I like it.

In the bottle from HyVee CB. Pours black with a beige head. Really nice roasted aroma. Intense coffee flavors and burnt malt dominate. Not too much smoothness from the oatmeal as far as palate goes. This has a bit of a mild sourness to the finish.

Bottle: One finger of a rich, dark brown oatmeal stout and about six fingers of a massive, creamy brown head... I guess that’s what I get for being a little too cavalier with the pour. Rich aroma is full of coffee, roast, and dark chocolate. Tastes of coffee and roast, but gets a little watery. Some bittersweetness and roast tries to linger through the tail, but again it sort of falls apart. High hopes after the aroma... comes up a little short.
