Jun 23, 2004 Creamy, sweet lager aroma. Somewhat cloudy in appearance with an off-white ehad. Not much head or lace. Good visible carbonation floats upwards. Solid alcohol presence; wants to be a bock but is still a lager. Not bad; just not that interesting.

Aug 9, 2004 Nice golden color,small off white head that faded to nothing in a hurry.Light malt aroma with a mild hop presence and some what sweet.The flavor was malty and mildly hopped with a bit of toffee and definately alcohol.The taste was nothing special and kind of just nasty all around.It doesn’t fit the style at all IMO but as it warms up it kind of grows on you a bit but not enough to make you want it all the time.Try it once but anything beyond that is up to you.

Jan 12, 2002 I got six different Upper Canada beers in a Sampler pack. Except the Wheat, they mine as well have just been all the same damn thing.

May 10, 2004 Probably my favourite of the Upper Canada Line up, although this was better in my mind than when I tried it on the weekend. Strong alcohol taste, although balanced rather nicely in this assertive lager. Slight hops in aroma, although I couldn’t place them, and a nice bite in the aftertaste, but the whole package seems a little blander than I remember. Perhaps I am recalling the old Rebellion Ale that used to be in the product line.

May 9, 2004 some sweet malt in a crisp refreshing initial swallow.. That’s it. Sour Bad breath aftertaste. Hint of some apple and spice. Little hops of course.

Jan 15, 2004 The last time I had this beer it was terrible, so I thought I'd give it another chance..
This one poured amazingly clear with a light copper body and a bright white head. Aromas consisted of caramel malts and citrus with floral notes. Initial sip was somewhat flat. Moderatly bitter start to a flat finish with perfumey flavours on the palate to finish.
This one wasn't much better than the last time I had it...I give up!

Aug 22, 2005 Deep golde, with foamy white head. OK malty taste with bitter finish and a bit of an acrid taste I cannot pin down.
