COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Imperial Red IPA made with caramel rye malt and many other exotic malts. Made with very generous quantities of Summit and Newport hops, this beer is quite a balanced treat. Our brewers decided they wanted more out of an IPA so they used a Belgian yeast strain giving it a wonderful belgian like aroma.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2018 On tap at Kuhnenns. Pours copper with a thick white head. Definitely on the hoppy side with other interesting flavors. This is one of those beers that tries to be malty and hoppy. This one does it well. Definitely on the hoppy side, but with a hint caramel-y red beer taste. Very good.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some spice, floral, and pine hops into a bit of grain. Taste was a mix of orange, pine, grass, more caramel, toffee, syrupy sweetness, finishing bitter.

On tap at Kunhenn. Pours a clear orange and copper tinged amber with a thick creamy tan head that falls quickly and laces the sides. Huge citrus on the nose. Medium bodied, big warm alcohol lurking in the background with thick malt and sweet citrus. Long slow bitterness on the finish, citrus and sweetness.

On tap at the brewpub. Amber pour with an off-white head. Nicely executed combination of hops and Belgian yeast is the aroma and taste. Outstanding.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2015 Tap @ Kuhnhenn: Beaming copper body with a super fluffy, frothy eggshell head; creamy & long-lasting. Aroma of spicy pines, hop resin, white pepper, spicy Belgian phenols, vibrant yeast, hints of coriander, a touch of bitter soapiness, & a faint kiss of mild green onion grassiness. Mild sweet malt underneath. Flavor is full of those bitter pines up front mixed with spicy Belgian yeast, mild phenols, & a dash of clove. White pepper, semisweet toasted caramel malts, & grassy hops make their way in shortly. The green onion note is there, but a little more muted. Plenty of finishing hop oil & mild resinous tones near the finish, lasting with a dose of caramel malt sweetness & spicy Belgian yeast esters. Very slight touch of booze. Nearly sticky body.

Draft - Sweet caramel, vegetal hops and dark citrus. Clear copper with a nice white head. Dark caramel, bubble gum and sweet fruity hops. Candy like and sweet with a touch of booze in the finish.
