Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet ripe banana/peach, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light alcohol aftertaste. A spectacular beer - they really need to make this a regular beer. I just automatically expect that US Weizens won’t match German ones but this is one that not only stands up to the style but exceeds my expectations. Thank God I found this beer. bb (3153), Martinez, California, USA

Big spicy clove aroma with wheat and caramel. Spice, caramel flavor with a bit of wheat. Medium bodied. Lingering caramel and spice. after4ever (3152), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2009 12-oz. Thanks, Headbanger! Pours murky dark brown with a big, thick, creamy tan head and decent rings of lace. Big bubblegummy nose. Not really much else happening there. Creamy medium body. Brown bread, bubble gum, and a bit of watermelon on the mid-palate. Not far off Silver City’s weizenbock, but pretty far off the pleasures weizenbocks have to offer. This is kind of a doughy belgian ale, at best. That said, it has no flaws. It’s just that the recipe is kind of lost. presario (3086), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Dark copper. Fair head. Banana and dusty chocolate smell. Sweet banana up front and baking soda in the back. Thin body. Chocolate, chalk and dust. No joy. riversideAK (3032), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2008 The best LongShot IMO. Muddy brown with a nice tan head. Sweet and fruity aroma with chocolate and dark fruits as well as yeast. Clove, banana, dark fruit, light roast, and chocolate in the flavor. I really like this style. Tyler is right that it could be thicker on the palate, but a lot of weizenbocks are thin like this. It is brown in color, and there is abundant wheat and banana. Lots of fruit and some sugar. Really good, and its great to see them do this style that few brewers attempt. DougShoemaker (2981), Toronto, Canada

Flavour is a burst of roasted malt, lovely wheat kick too. Medium bodied, very well balanced, great mouth feel, entirely too easy to drink. Terrific!
