Dark reddish colour. Low carbonation. Some hints of cinnamon in the nose. Not a very special beer.

(Draught at St. Urho’s Pub on 2008-02-16) Black with some redness. Sweet spicy nose. Spices in taste that contains also roasted malts, Contained more taste than I expected.

Almost opaque, ruby red color, mostly vanishing head. Coffee beans in the nose. Coffee, licorice and some Jägermeister in the flavor, also some Christmas spices (cinnamon, clove). Flavor is a bit too simple for winter porter. Some similarities to late Stadin Winter Stout.

Draught (St. Urho’s, Helsinki, Porter and Stout Days 2008)
Jet black, thin tight head. Spicy gingery aroma. Full mashy husky malt taste, burnt at first too. A bit of a mushy taste, slightly raw and even vegetably in places. A bit flat and dull.

(Draught@St.Urho) Very dark reddish brown with a small, lasting head. Xmas-spicy (cinnamon, cloves), chocolatey aroma with licorice hints. Licoricey-malty, slightly sweet, malty flavor with slight burnedness. Dry, chalky aftertaste. Light to medium-bodied, a bit thin palate with lowish carbonation. Very nice for the ABV, but also pretty thin.

Draught. Black opaque colour, which didn’t let even the slightest light through. Mediumsized foamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is fruit along with roasted malts, toffee and some mild notes of vanilla. Flavour is roasted malts, some caramel, licorice, wood and hints of vanilla. As it gets a bit warmer it shows some signs of some spicyness. Thanks to rsmeds for pointing out they had this one in Turku in December.
