COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This award winning doppelbock (8.2% alcohol by volume) lager is brewed with a generous supply of Munich, carapils, caramel and chocolate malts and is fermented with Bavarian lager yeast. The resulting caramel sweetness and rich mouthfeel are complimented by the mild bittering of German Hallertau hops. 1997 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal Winner

Bottled. Pours a rich caramel hue with a creamy head. Very sweet smelling toast and roasty flavors here. The first draw was slightly bitter, despite the sweet aroma, but the second and there after were smooth and creamy. A medium rich mouthfeel that lingers just a bit. I don’t think I could drink more than a couple of these, the sweetness would be too much.

Bottle. Bronze with a small head. Medium body and low carbonation. Some maltiness but apart from that pretty bland. Failed to impress.

From bottle, pours a golden amber. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor of bread, some caramel and a slight tobacco hint. It’s warming to drink. Full body. Enjoyable.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium hickory brown. medium off white head. Slight roasted nut aroma. Mouth feel reminds me of amberbock (gasp!). Definately get some chocolate and a bit of syrup like sweetness. Not bad at all!!

12oz bottle pours brown with amber hue and medium bubbly tan head. Aroma is a crisp caramel and berries. Nice bitter sweetness hits followed by caramel yeast detectable after taste like soy sauce alcohol hidden nicely. Very decent Bock drinkable.

Pours a reddish ambery color with a light brown head. Smells of caramle and brown sugar. Tastes of caramel with a very alcoholic aftertaste. Is okayyyyy
