COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the Brasserie Dubuisson’s renowned Scaldis Prestige, Scaldis Prestige de Nuits is aged in oak barrels for six months. But Prestige de Nuits is made of Scaldis Noel aged in Bourgogne barrels from the world famous "Nuits St. Georges" vineyard. The result is an ale of extraordinary complexity and depth. Bush de Noël, ripened for 7 months on wine casks from Burgundy (Nuits-St.-Georges).

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2023 From a corked, caged 750 ml. bottle with a 2014 vintage date on the label. The pour is an attractive red-hued brown color with a tan head that disappears almost immediately. The aroma is oak, wood, slightly boozy with breaded malt, Graham cracker, and grape or light fruit aspects. Medium to full, smooth body. The flavor is oaked and fruity at the start but it evolves into a slight tart character. Low to no bitterness. I get the alcohol more in the taste.

CraftBeerNick (9211) - Wokingham, Berkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2021 2014 vintage Big bottle, Christmas Day and Boxing Day 2021. Pours a red brown and fairly clear. Aroma is Sherry, dark fruit, vineous, wood. Taste is super complex, layered, vineous, wood, slight tart, no sign of the hefty ABV, dark fruits, drinks light, very enjoyable, and dangerous.

ReuvenSmienk (852) - Houten, NETHERLANDS - NOV 18, 2021

iLoveBelgianBeer (3) - LK Kitzingen, GERMANY - JUL 26, 2021 does not count

ABUSEDGOAT (4141) - California, USA - JUL 22, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 22, 2021 Reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma of fine French wine, sugar, darker fruit. Fuller bodied, moderate alcohol, warming, very pleasant albeit pricey. World class.
