Commercial Description:
15 years of brewing! You know what’s been the best part lately? Tons of experimentation! For the last couple of years, we’ve been working with several strains of brettanomyces (wild yeast). We found one and deemed it the best for it’s tart flavor and funky, fruity aroma. Adding black mission figs for a subtle jammy aspect, hibiscus flowers for an herbal bouquet and hazy sunset hue, and white pepper for a bit of spicy twang, we’ve created FIFTEEN - a unique drinking experience inspired by the wild farmhouse ales of Belgium. Though immensely complex today, more flavor will emerge with time, so throw a few bottles in your cellar for future celebrations. Thanks to all of you who have made our 15-year ride possible! Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops, black mission figs, hibiscus flowers, white pepper, and a very unique strain of brettanomyces yeast.

Golden pour with a decent white head. Aroma is a little tart and fruity but not very bold. The flavor is pretty bad. Thin and sour up front with an offensive soapy taste and some fig notes tacked on at the end as a final insulting parting shot.

22oz bottle that I’ve had in the cellar since... well since the only time they made it! Glad I kept it, had time to dry out and surprisingly didn’t oxidize much at all, which I was always afraid of. Pours a slightly murky duller golden orange with a fizzy white head. Aroma is strong metallic iron/blood brett, tart fruit, funky, urinal cake, not super sweet. Flavor is much the same, upfront wave of metallic brett, then subtle tart fruits and flower, touch of oxidized hops as it warms, biscuity malt, nice med/light sweetness, some woody brett character emerges too, not quite as metallic as the Brabant. Medium/light bodied, fizzy sprtizy crisp carbonation. Glad it aged well, hides the 7.5% nicely.

Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is sour, barnyard funk, fruity. Flavor is lightly sour, lemon, hay, light spice with a dry, slightly puckering finish.

Pours a slightly hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma is full of yeasty aromas, including banana, pineapple juice, tropical fruit, and spice. Flavor is full of interesting spicy flavors, with pepper and pineapple coming through. Interesting, complex brew.

Pours a cloudy, gold color. Light, soapy head. Smell is amazing, I am a sucker for the smell of brett. The taste was not as impressive as the aroma led me to believe. Although the taste of the brett was nice, some of the proclaimed flavors of fig and white pepper were not apparent to me. Still a nice beer though.

22oz bottle from Brewforia
Appearance: Slightly hazy golden with a large white head that leaves some lacing as it dissipates
Aroma: Funky brett aroma, spices, horse blanket
Taste: Spicey/sour fruits, straw and bready
A very different beer, but not for me. The best thing about this beer is the packaging....

A: A hazy orange color with a small white foam. Lots of small bubbles. S: Funk, and a bit of spice, but that’s about it. The figs and hibiscus that are supposedly there aren’t present for me. T: A nice balance of the spice character and the wonderful funky Brett characteristics. The figs are subtle, but there, in the flavor. M: A nice crisp and dry mouthfeel. D: A nice beer, not fantastic, but certainly a solid one.

22 ounce bottle from brewforia. Pours a clear golden hue with a large sticky white head. A funky brett nose, hay and honey. A peppery, smooth and very funky flavor, dry, fluffy, light spiced apple cider, dry malts, brett and hay. Pretty nice.
