Aroma is very much cereal, grain, bread, with faint caramel. Flavor is grainy, some more caramel. Finish is citrus, slightly dry, slightly malty. Would like a touch more maltiness, little less bread, but not too bad. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a somewhat hazy golden/brown color body with a decent off white head. The aroma was pretty subdude. Flavors were kinda dirty grains with some toffee, cardboard, nuts, and more alcohol than a 4.9% beer should have in the flavor. hopdog (5758), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium to deepter orangish color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of nuts and caramel. I wasn’t really getting too much else. Tastes of the same nuttiness, caramel, grains, and some cardboard. JCB (1928), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 5, 2009 Big-ass bottle brought to our departmental picnic - thanks, Ann and Mike! Reddish brown pour with a faint carbonation. Sharp hay notes blend with toffee malts in the nose, making for an offbeat but fairly appealing entry to the style. Not sure it all hangs together in the taste, though, as the spice and yeast seem a bit off, with an effect that combines as both harsh and a bit brackish. Nice sweet malts and hops in there nonetheless, but this beer wasn’t what it could have been. GodOfThunder (970), Orlando, Florida, USA

Pours brown with a thin white head and smells bready. Farm brew is just about the right description. It tastes like a farm, but not in the good Fantome way. Not really something that I enjoy, but I’m glad to have tried it. Elwood (829), Virginia, USA

Appearance: Cloudy, deep brown with a foamy, off-white head.
Aroma: Light malt and caramel notes in the nose.
Flavor: Light malt notes, but not much else. Just kind of bitter and tasteless. Perhaps my palate was ruined by their other crappy beers.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a short, malty finish.
Overall: This one may be the best out of the bunch, but wow, they need some serious help at this brewery. TomDecapolis (3346), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Flavor was kind of tart, grainy, dry, bubbly carbonation, caramel, nuts and a touch of hops. Miver (600), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA
