| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Pours thick and dark with a little, light brown head that disappears quickly. The aroma is full of molasses, roasted scents, and a touch of soy. The flavor begins with a hint of roasted nuttiness with some mild hops and continues with roasted coffee notes. This one got better as it warmed with the addition of toffee and stronger nut flavor. Underlying bourbon/oak at all levels. Drinks smooth and light despite its thick appearance. A little dry, but not unpleasant. Finishes smooth with lingering coffee and nuts.

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 17, 2010 big thanks to brad for this long time want! nice very dark brown pour with a thick creamy dark brown head and beautiful thick lacing on the glass. aromas meld a good bit of sweet bourbon and bitter coffee to balance it out nicely. the mouth feel is super creamy, but not super heavy, very, very smooth. the taste is on par with any coffee impy stout i can think of, and the bourbon and coffee are a great combination. the sweet syrupyness of it is cut by the drying bitter roast finish. a great imperial porter with both heavy stout and lighter lager characteristics blended together nicely. beernbourbon (464), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 5, 2010 Bottle thanks to ditmier. Pour is almost black with a small brown head. Aroma is lots of burnt coffee, roasted malt, light alcohol presence, faint vanilla, and a touch of bourbon. The burnt coffee is the dominant aroma for sure. Flavor is more subtle than aroma. Still lots of dark roast coffee but with a nice balancing sweetness from the malt. Bourbon is not an overwhelming force here, more of an afterthought with it’s presence most noticeable deep into the finish. madsberg (5431), Søborg, Denmark
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 19, 2010 Bottled. Blackish coloured. Dense light brown head. Aroma of coffee, sweetness, vanilla, chocolate, wood, ligth roast. Flavour of marzipan, chocolate, sweetness, light roast, light vanilla, light herbs and cocoa. Quite smooth and complex. Medium to full bodied. Has a barreldense, marzipanny and sweet light bitterness in the end. Quite an experience. Huge thx. to Santa Mike for this very nice beer. 5000 (2913), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 3, 2010 Bottle:   Nearly black, moderate to thin foamy light brown head, a few rings of lacing.   Strong nose of coffee, soft bourbon.   Semi-sweet chocolate like roasted malts on the tongue, with a good dose of coffee beans
and bourbon.   Certainly comes across as an Oatmeal Porter.   Amazingly well balanced.   Finishes with coffee and bourbon notes.   Sweet lactose lingers.   This one is amazingly well balanced.   I wished I had
more of this.   Not brash and not over the top, built just right in my opinion.   Thanks to Skyview for the bottle!
