| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Tap. Amber rust color. Dusty smell. Some malts come through but it’s mostly adjuncts. Taste is caramel sweet with a corny backbone. Finish is crisp. Too macro in quality. travita (2146), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 18, 2009 On tap at the Fox and Hound in Charlotte, NC. Dark Amber color, decent head and lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee and malt. Malt flavor with a little sweetness and faint hops. Okay brew but I think the best part of the whole deal was the nice glass they brought it in. I would love to have one for my bar collection. hellbilly (1643), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 9, 2009 had this in gilbert...
that’s a damn fine looking beer in its custom glass... rich amber with a soft off white head which leaves a ladder of lace behind.
a smell of iron is a bit detracting from the fact that it really doesn’t smell like much else...some nuts and caramel perhaps.
there is a defined iron flavor... along with strawberries, faint chocolate, cinnamon-ish spice, caramel and something minty/numbing. it’s dirty and vegetal yet not earthy with a watered down feeling.... almost like they brewed this with rewashed grain.
thin body is lacking some pep from carbonation so it feels dead on the tongue... 4/4/4/2/10/2.4 Shag (1934), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 5, 2009 On Tap Fox and Hound Chattanooga. This poured an amber color with a small white head. The aroma is faint with some caramel and toffee showing through. The flavor was rather sweet and malty with more caramel and toffee. Probably in the league of Killians and such. At $2 for a pint it worked. Overall decent enough. Foxbush (482), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 10, 2009 This was tap at Bailey’s in Richmond. It had a rich amber color and frothy white head. The ale was drinkable. It lacked some body but not enough hops for me. The finish was smooth with no aftetaste. This is not a noteworthy ale. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA
