Feb 8, 2010 cloudy orange color, glowing with a lacy head. Aroma is lots of flowers and banana. Sweet and bitter, but not stinging bitterness. Very, very smooth. This is great. Bottle at Sunset Corners, Miami.

Feb 7, 2010 Really cool brew that is truly the best of both worlds.Fruity belgian yeasts and bitter/cirtrus american hops.I am a big fan of Stone but this is one of my faves!!Pours a pretty amber with a light frothy head.Drinks really nice and finishes with a fruity bubblegum flavor.Great example of a cali/belg!!

Feb 7, 2010 Bomber pours translucent amber with some retaining off white head into a tulip. The hops in the aroma are very soft and subdued, quite yeasty with banana chips, dried apricots, bready malts and vanilla. This is a very yeasty beer and it dominates the taste profile. Banana chips, apricots. Bready finish with red apple, pineapple juice, herbs, bubblegum. Medium bodied with a fizzy, yet slick mouthfeel and a high level of carbonation. Interesting beer, cross between an IPA and tripel. Tasty.

Feb 6, 2010 Nice grassy malty aroma with some spice to it.
Clear golden color with pale head.
Bitter taste backed by a nice malt presence.
Light body and lots of carbonation,bitter finish.
Years ago i brewed a pale ale with a Belgian yeast just to see what it would taste like.Even before i opened it i knew what to expect.
To me the 2 styles do not make an interesting match.
The spiciness that comes from the Belgian yeast just screws up the floral qualities of the hops.Very well made,i just do not like the combination...

Feb 6, 2010 This beer pours a clear light golden color with a small white head. There is a pretty good hop smell with this beer, but there is also some maltyness to the aroma. This beer is an odd combination of a relatively strong IPA with a big dose of a belgian ale. However, there is also a pretty good hit of bitter fresh cut grass. To be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about the flavor of this beer. I like both of the dominant flavors, but I’m not sure putting them together does much for either of them.

Feb 6, 2010 Bottle pour.Amber colored with a good white head.Nice aromas in the nose,piney hops,citrus fruit,& malt.Taste was sweet and hoppy with fruit hints,apricot and orange.Much mellower than I expected after other Stone brews I’ve tried.Really good though.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to heavy hoppy, flowers, perfume, overripped orange and mandarin, moderate yeasty, soap, belgium yeast. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100104]
