Dark amber color, medium white creamy head. Aroma of caramel, malt, wood, herbs, nuts. Taste has similar notes, dry sweet with mildly bitter hoppy finish. Thin to medium body and soft carbonation. Nice bitter.

Clear amber beer, low carbonation, with a small, foamy, off-white head. Refreshingly light-medium bodied. Simple, yet pleasant caramel malts, with a touch of apple and herbs, and a mild, citrus hop. Simple, but well balanced, and very drinkable.

Handpumped @ Ye Olde Cheschire Cheese (Greater London). Slightly hazy amber with a medium mostly lasting beige head and good lacing. Aroma is of caramel, mineral presence and fruity notes, but there’s a little something off that I can’t recognize. Taste is also of caramel, fruity notes and mineral presence with a very light bitterness along with, again, something off that I can’t recognize. It’s really subtle, but it doesn’t take much to hinder low abv beer like a Bitter. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Easily drinkable and tasty, but far from the best Bitter because there’s a little something off and it’s also a tad bland.

Cask. Looks copper, with a one finger white head. It took a long time to settle. Aromas of bitter hops, toffee and caramel. Taste- quite thin-bodied, lots of bitterness, a fair amount of caramel going on.Solid bitter.

Cask in the Anchor Inn, Guisborough. Amber with a creamy white head. Served over cold, so hard to get too much flavour. Fairly fruity. Some biscuit notes on the finish. There’s a little sweetness too. Below par.

Cask at Sam Smiths The Cock Tavern, London. Pours an amber colour with a creamy white head. Aroma is subtle with a light maltiness. Light to medium body, mild carbonation. Sweet caramel ice cream, cakey. OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Windsor Castle, Wesminster, 31/10/13. Clear copper golden with a moderate light beige covering, good lacing ensues. Nose is thin - light fruit notes, hint of toffee, grain. Taste comprises toffee, light malt bill, touch of darker fruit, bread dough. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitter notes in the finish. So so bitter, not unpleasant, just lacks any depth - done on the cheap which is probably why it is relatively speaking!

Pours copper, tight head. Grain, biscuit, toffee nose. Taste slightly bitter, caramel, malty, biscuit - it's alright
