12 oz bottle from a Trappist glass. Small, rapidly disappearing head. Hazy yellow colored pour. Taste is somewhat tart, whth a somewhat citrusy note. Tastes pretty good, but not quite as complex as many of the other Unibroue beers. Abrupt finish. A little too tart for my taste, but still a pretty good Belgian white.

Sampled at the Great Canadian Pub in Paris. Pours okay, dark yellow but with very little head. Aroma is all right, has that tartness that Unibroues tend to have. Also the same in the flavour, an intensity of hops and sour notes that really identify the Unibroue style. It’s not the best example of a Unibroue but it’s a good example of one.

( 12oz bottle) Pours clearish pale yellow. Nose of orange, spices, and spicy/belgian yeast. Taste of crisp spices, citrus, Unibroue house yeast, with a dry finish that’s quite effervescent. Reminds me of club soda in terms of palette.

Aroma: The aroma is fruity, wheaty, airy, apple, with some spice
Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow color, bubbly white head
Flavor: Taste is mostly sweet, fruity, with just a little bit of hops
Palate: The body is light, with lively carbonation and a nice airy mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid beer. It is really inviting and easy to drink. It has a nice flavor and seems to be reasonably well crafted. The word that keeps showing up in my notes is "airy," and I think that word describes this beer pretty well. I think I like it better then it scores for me in the first 4 categories, so I gave the overall a small boost to make up for this discrepancy.

Pours a cloudy light orange color. Smell and taste of minor spice with floral notes. A very light, refreshing and bubbly beer. An easy going belgian white that was enjoyable.

Bottle from the Ft. Worth Gingerman. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Lots of citrus, some banana, clove and yeast aroma. Banana and yeast flavor isn’t as inviting as the beer smells, but isn’t bad. Light citrus finish. Doesn’t have nearly as much of the aftertaste and mouthfeel combo that I find I hate in most other Unibroues.

One of my favorite beers, mostly because I like beers that are so unfiltered that you have to floss afterwards. Light, yeasty, citrusy aroma gives way to a medium, slightly sweet taste; the phenols are well controlled. The head is about what you’d expect; overall, a good example of a white ale. I’d call it one of my desert island beers.

Pours a cloudy/ hazy yellow with very little head. Smells of coriander and orange rinds. The flavor is rather light and refreshing yet a little funky. The beer finishes with the typical unibroue funkiness, which I’m pretty sure is the yeast strain.
