Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

I shared a bottle of this with BeerBaron617. He has had it, and rated it, and suggested it, and now i’ve tried it...... Ok, so yes. This beer is tasty! It poured a very light, clear bubbly gold color with a medium white head. Aroma was light, juicy, bright, and bready. Taste translated perfectly. My mouth waters for this beer! It’s like biting into an apple that’s gushing citrusy juices... I don’t know, it’s just pretty darn good. Overall, I would like to purchase stock in this brewery.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy pale yellow color, with a white head. The beer has great aromas with some banana and citrus. The palate is refreshing with small champagne like effervescence. Great smooth taste, really great and fresh tasting beer.

light slighty cloudy gold, fluffy white head, quite a bit of lace. nose is musty malt with a touch of floral yeastiness. medium bodied, spritzy mouthfeel, fruity finish. too fruity overall for me.

750 mL from MC Liquors for $3.99 (!!). Pours a very cloudy yellow into the Trappist glass with a large white head. The aroma is delightful with many cheesy notes and wild funk. Pineapple, grass, vanilla, and cardamom are all in the aroma. The mouthfeel is lively. Smooth cheesy flavors are here with a semi tart finish and complex, well balanced spices and hints of pineapple round out things. This is a very well made saison.

This is a great refresher, and strong enough to relax the soul after a long day. It pours a beautiful gold color, with a light cloudiness to it. There are pleanty of floral and fruity tones in the aroma as well as the taste. The palate is crisp with an immediate calmative effect.

Slightly cloudy golden color. The aroma is of grass and straw, don’t quite know what else. Its a bit sweet with good carbonation and a crisp finish that before it disappears, sits in the back of the mouth. This would be a good summer beer. There’s something in the beer thats just a bit offputting though, dunno what.

After I popped cork and watch it soar across the room I poured it into a smaller trappist glass that I have. The pour was a cloudy pale yellow with bubbly effervescence and a white fizzy head that diminishes quickly. The 7.7% ABV is well masked in the aroma, which is mainly wheat, yeast, banana, and a bit of clove. The mouthfeel is fairly bold and quite creamy. The taste is very similar to the aroma but also a bit bready. Ommegang interprets the Belgian style recipe well.

Bottled. pours light yellow, with a medium white head. It smells of yeast and fruit. Tastes of yeast and raisin. Decent but not as good as i was expecting.
