Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

750ml bottle. Hazy golden orange pour with light bubbly gauzy white head. Dough and citrus and hops on the nose. More yeasty doughiness on the palate with orange and lemon notes and a bit of spice. Hoppy, and not quite as saison-like as expected. A bit sharp and tangy where I wanted it to be more sour. Solid, though.

I haven’t enjoyed a beer as much as this in a long time. A lovely fruity nose but not overpowering. Poured slightly cloudy and golden with a lively head. A full, round taste that I found heavy but lovely. This is a beer I can have a long and prosperous relationship with for sure. Soft carbonation and a nice bite to the finish all work together to produce one of the most entertaining and complex beers I have tried lately. Lighter than Three philosophers but I preferred it frankly. Definitely will recommend.

WOW - I can’t believe I am posting exactly the 1408th rating of this beer, and it ALSO happens to be my 822nd posted rating!! I love these big milestones, and they give me a big chubby. Clear thick gold pour with dense tall white head. Aromas of spicy phenols and very ripe sun-warm fruit, pear granny smith, white grape, and playful funk. Taste replays all this, with an added lemony element from some acidity and the hops. Has some nice sweetness and body. Cake dough. Damn this has only gotten BETTER, or else I’ve gotten less dumber. Try it not so cold and see how solid this is.

Poured a cloudy (almost opaque) straw with a huge rocky head (the cloudy character cleared as the brew settled down). Aroma of spices, fruits, slightly sour and sweet. Taste was mild spices, pepper and fruits... with a slight sourness - all a little watered down. Light body, medium carbonation. Overall good... but not on par with the Belgium Saisons.

Fresh with a bit of a light farmhouse tone in the aroma. Gold color with a descent white head. A spicey ginger toned golden ale flavor.

Draft at Brouwer’s. Clear golden pour with a thick white head on it. Has an aroma of fresh cut banana, apricot, citrus, and lightly peppery spice. Has a creamy palate with a strong amount of carbonation. The flavor of this is loaded with light fresh fruit as well, a little acidity and lemon, and peppery spice, earth ,and grass. Very easy to drink and balanced, while still having some pretty bold notes in it.

Pours a yellow golden haze with life. Has a medium foam head. Has a belgium spice aroma with hints of citrus and bananas. Has more carbonation then other saisons I have had. Gives it a creamier feel. Has a sweet grassy taste with a slight bitterness. Very tasty. I did not remember this brew being so good. But my palate is a bit more experienced then it was the last time I tried it.

Pours hazy golden, lots of bubbles, decent head. Aroma-earthy, malty, grassy, slight sweetness. Taste-sweet, hay, slight bitterness and a very slight amount of barn. Decent body, very good overall.
