COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A robust porter, full-bodied, malty with a complex and flavorful roasty, chocolatey character and aroma. Our porter is dark in color yet soft on the palate. Adding an aroma-forward espresso blend to this beer makes it out of this world good and drinkable.

Draft. Pours dark, dark brown with a dark tan head. Aroma is lots of dark roasted coffee. Taste is coffee upfront and all the way throughout with a bit of dark chocolate. It’s a much drier beer than I expected but not really in a bad way. Very enjoyable beer.

Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 6, 2010
Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours black, pale tan head, soft yet surprisingly sticky lacing. Nose is soft roast, milk chocolate. Flavours are much drier, with graphite, mineral, anise, tight roast, nice coffee in the finish here also. Very nice porter.

Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - MAY 2, 2010
Sampled at the brewery. Solid black, creamy tan head. Aroma of coffee, mocha, cream, smoke, dark roasted malts. Taste is bitter coffee, sweet cream and vanilla, good balance overall. Medium, silky body, soft carbonation. Great beer.

DuffMan (10981) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 10, 2008
Near black, with ruby tones at the edges. Very rich dark roast coffee bean aroma, eclipses all else. Generous bitter chocolate and espresso flavours, sweet, with a long dry finish of medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. One of the best coffee porters I’ve tried, perhaps made better by the freshness of the sample. I took a growler away with me.
