Bottled. Pours pitch black, opaque with a little, creamy and tan head leaving some good lacings. Aroma of roasted malts with smokey notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry. Full bodied, creamy texture and flat to soft carbonation. An excellent brew.

Bottle brought over by Ben on the great Prague excursion. 25cl number much like the one in the picture. Pours Black with a dissipating Tan coloured head. A massive beer with customary roasty chocolate notes. Soaked in alcohol and with an extremely well measured dose of wood. A bit of vanilla. Thick, rich and satisfying. Delicious.

Bottle 18cl, nice label. Looks good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts strong, a bit alcoholic, more and more malty-earthy, notes of coffee and bitter chocolate. Finish warming-malty. Good one!

Little bottle, #550, huge thanks to Fonefan! Pours opaque black, medium super creamy tan head, sloooooowwww dissipating, leaving nice lacing. Aroma is rich and chocolate, roasted malted, cigarettes, bourbon. Flavor is about the same, medium sweet, bit of anise, chocolate, tobacco, light bitterness, oak. A bit sharp. Pretty full body, creamy mouthfeel. Some abc burn. Interesting beer.

My 5700th rating! [Bottle (250ml? Anyway, it’s a little guy) c/o Glouglouburp. Vintage 2009, No. 834.] Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a spare bubbly off-white head. Wonderful aroma of roasted malt, soya sauce, alcohol, dark fruit, coffee, vinous notes, hops, salt, some caramelization and more -- lots going on here. Flavour’s just as good, and surprisingly fruity and hoppy, along with soya sauce, chocolate, some red wine and again, much more. Alcohol is pretty much hidden. Average bodied. This is a gem, 4 years old and totally delicious.

Pours a pitch black beer with a tan head. Smells chocolate, cake and something. Tastes chocolate, coffee bit vanilla and a nice bitter finish. Medium body, sticky texture and an average carbo. Great!
