On tap at the brewpub in September 2009. My second trip to this nice little town, Grand Junction. Pours a dark brown color with a small almost nonexistent white head. A light, almost cask like mouthfeel. Rich coffee and lighter toasted malts, some fruit perhaps. Overall, a decent porter.

Draught at brewery. Pours black with a spare, fizzy, light brown head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (chocolate, burnt), light hops (grass), average yeast (leather) with notes of dates and toffee. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.
