Poured from a bottle covered in muck, presenting a most unusual lemonade yellow with a nose that drops two big ones, lemon and sun-bleached wheat- on the olfactory. I haven’t seen a head on a beer that big since this morning. Nice, white puffy cotton. Flavor really filters out the pollutants with a tart lemon juice begining and a Dom Perignon-esque finish that isn’t ashamed to told you where it came from. I love this mouthfeel, Larry; reminds me of the feeling of homemade lemonade in my mouth when I was a kid. And my dead brother. A beer that would go great with a steak sandwich and, a steak sandwich.

Crisp sour aroma, light leather. Flavor is the same, pretty crisp, lemony and dry initially, but there is some sugar in the end. fata2683 (1130), Panama City, Florida, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Mar 17, 2010 750ml bottle. Pours a ugly piss yellow, cloudy with a wierd whitish head. Aroma is crazy. Wierd stinky blue cheese, horse blanket and that crusty bread aroma all their beers seem to have. Up front nice moderated lactic sourness with big grainy cereal notes. A little lemon zest and finishes with a modest dry sourness and lingering grain flavor. I dig this. Brigadier (1323), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

I always look forward to a fresh Berliner Weiss, especially one made in this country that is not just a failed attempt at some other style. This is a winner on all counts. I wish I had another bottle and some syrup to experiment with flavorings. If you like low alcohol flavorful beers then this should be right up your alley.
Aroma / Appearance - Cloudy and carbonated the body bubbles with pent up aggression. White and thin the head is like a halo over the golden liquid beneath. Sour wheat mash, citrus, and lemon notes give this a tartness that is just what you would expect from a well made sour wheat beer.
Flavor / Palate - Sour and lemony it is not intense enough to get the mouth to pucker but it does pack a punch. The balance is well done for something so light and delicate. Before I knew it I had taken my last sip and was left with only a citrus finish to remind me that the Bruery could be the next up and comer in the craft brewery scene. Hopefully their other releases are just as excellent. CanIHave4Beers (1066), Des Moines, Iowa, USA

The aroma is funky cheese and some lemon. The flabor has a great lemon sourness & that funky cheese thing shows up again. Very good lively mouth feel. Damn tasty, I would love to drink this every day. mkade8883 (115), Goleta, California, USA

Not very sour, but very nice. If this is what a "traditional" berliner weisse is supposed taste, then I’d be happy to try more. fonefan (13240), VestJylland, Denmark
