Commercial Description:
With its light-honey coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine-pored, stable head. It has a fresh, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, harmonious and smoothly rounded. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a spritzig-sour impression.

Fully hazy yellow, with peach shine; small white head. Banana and cloves, bit smoky, sweet aromas. Cloves, fusels, and dry orange, wheat in the taste. Velvety wheat feel, grist, medium bodied, warming from the fusels, yet refreshing. This IS the standard Weizen. Likeable, but not really great.

Bottle. A - Clouded orangish gold color, a bit more amber/brown than other more yellow/golden Hefeweizens. Large, thick, creamy white head. Very good retention. S - Normal Hefeweizen smells. Good amount of grain/wheat. Some clove and a bit of banana. Some other faint fruity smells. T - Typical Hefe flavors. Good malted wheat base. Healthy amount of clove (more than other Hefes). Also probably slightly more banana and other fruit flavors than other Hefes. Lots of citrus, orange being most prominent and some lemon. Finishes with good amount of medicinal and some alcohol flavors. M - Medium body with good carbonation. Creamy and smooth. D - Really nice drinkability. Goes down smooth and easy. Full feel in the mouth with flavors that don’t kill the palate, but make me come back for more. Notes: Nice Hefe that as a bit more of a spice/medicinal/alcohol kick than others. Also a bit more fruit flavors. Quite enjoyable, and perfect for summer or just an easy to drink beer.

Notes from sep-09. 500 ml pint in Köln. Little darker than usual wheat, burnt brownish, thick head that lasts. Very broad thick bready aroma with bananas and some pepper. Flavor has bread, lots of it. Some grains and banana. Palate is good - thick and sweet.

Bottle from Canals Liquor. Pours a pale honey yellow with a small white head, little lacing. Aroma is of yeast, banana, wheat, bubblegum and a hint of citrus. Sweet taste, goes down almost to easily. Nice hefe.

bottle - pours light amber with a small white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma and taste were that of an ordinary typical Weiss nothing really stood out. Not bad but not great either.

A little bit on the synthetic with lots of cloves and bubblegum. A reasonable amount of grip and a decent but small head. Are better Schneider & Sohn brews out there.

Pours pale brown, almost as if it is a light version of a Dunkelweizen. Near white head forms well and retains well. Nose is pleasantly assertive with a clean fresh whitebready component, light banana clove. Plenty of wheat malt on the palate give it a smooth sweetness over medium body, with the banana clove in the background. Again fresh bready components are noted. Finish is medium long and bready. Very drinkable.
