Commercial Description:
The (512) India Pale Ale is a big, aggressively dry hopped American IPA with smooth bitterness (~65 IBU) balanced by medium maltiness. 100% US malted grains, loads of hops, and great Austin water create an ale with apricot and vanilla aromatics that lure you in for more.

Growler acquired in trade with lb4lb (thanks for answering my call for this one!). Poured a medium and hazy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, and all around floralness. Tastes of citrus, pine, floral, lighlty earthy, and some caramel. Had a lighter sweetness to the bitterness.

Poured a lightly hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, citrus fruits, floral hops, pine, toast, and grassy skunk. Taste of caramel malts, citrus fruits, pine, citrus, resiny tobacco, and a dry, grapefruit finish.

Thanks to Nate for the handbottle! Bright and hazy orange pour. Thin off white head and drippy lace. Tropical fruit aroma. Medium bodied with nice balance. Apricot and citrus with a malty backbone.

Tap at Draught House, Austin, TX.
Pours cheddar orange with an aroma of apricot-infused grapefruit. Flavor is Sunny Delight grapefruit and orange juice. Average mouthfeel. This beer wants to be good, and I’m sure it will be as more batches are made. Keep it up.

I am really wanting to say good things. So happy to have another brewery in town and would very much like to meet the brewer. The pint I had and even more the one my friend ordered had a haze beyond a chill haze I’ve seen before. Think perhaps the filtering was off or this keg had way too much yeast that made its way through. It definitely lessened the experience as though the yeast didn’t overpower the hops, it sure did make the whole a funky battle. Please work on this and I’ll keep my fingers crossed and keep coming back to see what’s happening.
