12oz bottle from once upon a vine south. pours a darker shade of orange-copper with a full white head and solid lacing. aroma is very nice with fresh, grassy, floral hop notes, and wet wood with hints of lemon peel and orange citrus with slightly sweet, toasted caramel malts. flavor is solid as well with grassy, herbal, earthy hop notes with just a hint of citrus up front with light, wheat-bready malts and a hint of caramel on the finish. palate is crisp, and medium bodied, with a mild metallic twang in an otherwiser mild, bitter finish. overall, a decent harvest ale.

Mar 14, 2010 12oz bottle. Slightly hazy amber-orange color. Nice strong earthy hop aroma, with some thick orange sweetness. The fresh hops add a real earthy taste, but the sweet malts still shine through and balance out. More along the lines of an APA, Approaching herbal, the hops impart a medicinal tea quality. Good, and a little hard to describe, but not quite great.

Mar 5, 2010 Pours brown amber with medium white head. Strong herbal and floral hop aroma with a touch of maltiness as well. Flavor is milder than I was expecting. A bit grassy with a touch of bread and just a little hop kick. Tastes good, but not amazing.

Feb 27, 2010 Pours a nice hazy orange. Fluffy white head. Lacing is extremely abundant. Aroma is a lot of hops. Some citrus fruit too, a lot like Sierra Nevada. Flavor: some hops, mostly malt. Citrus-y, again. reminds me a lot of Sierra Nevada. Got a 4 pack for 3.99, so I guess that’s cheaper than a 6 of SN. Decent beer overall.

Feb 22, 2010 Pours a clear amber color with lots of bubbles. The head was creamy and white with excellent lacing. Grainy malt aroma, lots of caramel sweetness, light grassy hops. Flavor tends more to the malty side. Somewhat earthy/dirty. Very smooth. I like it.

Feb 19, 2010 12 oz. bottle; thanks to michael-pollack for the trade; pours clear, dark orange with foamy off-white head lingering and leaving minor lacing; aromas of honey, stale malt, white sugar, some piney hops; thin body with almost earthy mouthfeel; plenty of piney bitters, mild citrus, crystal malt, table sugar; kind of soapy hop flavors with more body as it warms; not a hop bomb by any means, but a pretty solid IPA with some nice grainy, earthy characteristics

App.: Clear orange-amber with a full, light tan foam.
Aroma: Caramel, butterscotch, toffee, burnt biscuits, some citrus, a little grapefruit, a bit fruity with some apples and berries, there’s maybe some Pils-like notes of lighter malts and peppery Noble hops, sort of earthy and nutty.
Palate: Medium body, fairly sparse effervescence.
Flav.: Lots of fruity, sweet malts, apricot and peach, some apple and pome fruit, pine and grapefruit hops, still a touch earthy/nutty, peppery, still has Pils elements; somewhat sweet with fair bitterness and a very earthy, wet ash, almost not quite pleasant malt finish.

Feb 8, 2010 Aroma is extremely flowery hops. Perfume and a hint of lemon. Pale malt is also flowery. English bitter stuff. Good and English pale nose.
Appearance is semi-clear amber orange. A thin layer of sloshy white head. Nice carbonation.
The flavor is pale malts, ringwood yeast. Hops are pine (mild) and Euro bitters. Very flowery. Major English bitter aftertaste
Dry and bubbly, fizzy with a champagne finish. This is a ringwood-laden English bitter -- not really a harvest ale per se. Still, a good brew.

Jan 30, 2010 Smells a little soapy, some hops. Flavor is hoppy, but also a bit soapy and milky/creamy. Easily the creamiest harvest ale I’ve had.
