Pours a hazy golden yellow with a large head, good lacing and retention. I was surprised I didn’t lose half the bottle, I was even prepared. Aroma is very lemony with notes of pepper, yeast, more fruits, light hops. I usually drink beer at cellarish temp, but for this one I started cold as recommended. Medium body that feels very light, dry finish, lively carbonation. Somewhat reminiscent of Champagne, but I’d rather have that or Deus. I really wanted to love this, but in the end it was a REALLY expensive bottle that wasn’t amazing.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2010 This beer was not good at all - maybe because by the time i got to the bottle it had already been opened for 2 days.
Tasted very tea like, with lots of citrus and lots of barnyard.
Weird - Might re rate this in the future.

So we tasted this one instead. Lighter, much lighter then i suspected, was even a bit thinking they took the wrong beer... Golden coliur, good head. Fruity/Citrus/sour smell. Vert unclear, even some little things floating around the beer. Some banana, peaches and citrus? Still wondering if this beer is what we ordered... Didn’t taste bad at all... But not my style of beer. BMan1113VR (3355), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2010 Bottle with a best before of June 30, 2008 (currently March 4th, 2010, so this bottle is old). Gusher? Check. Pours with a large, long lasting, creamy white head over a murky yellow body. Aroma of grass, grainy, alcohol and pear. Light musty, bread and glazed pastry notes. Taste is alcohol, vanilla, nectarines, and various tangy stone fruit. Some peaches and creame. Slightly bitter finish. Odd combination of melted vanilla ice cream and tannic white grape skins. Warming alcohol. Lively carbonation, dry finish. This would be good for several more years. maeib (4877), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

Many thanks to Phil and BeerMerchants for this bottle. A blonde beer with a quick to dissipate off-white head. The aroma has brett, peppery hop and a little lemon. Pleasantly carbonated with funky lemony flavours. Nice full funky body although it hides its ABV well. It’s not often I drink a 750 of a beer this strength on my own and I’m glad that this grew on me during the bottle. Pretty good.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 10, 2010 Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a big fizzy white head, loads of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is yeasty, bread, some grain, grass or hay notes, light fruits, pears, apricots, slight sourness, some alcohol. Quite a bit of sweetness at first as it hits the tongue, before a semibitter, somewhat tart dry finish takes over and lingers for a good while. Light to medium bodied, lively carbonation. nick76 (2749), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 4, 2010 The aroma leads me to think this one is going to be yeasty maybe even slight fruity but with a dry character. The appearance is hazy golden with a large head and lots of lace. The taste is dry and slightly yeasty but no real fruit to speak of. The palate is thin. Overall it’s a very drinkable beer with a large price tag. I think it’s not worth the price but I think it’s worth a try if you can get some. gunnar (675), Sandnes, Norway
